Standard Response Protocol
The district has implemented the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) to standardize at all its schools its emergency response procedures within buildings and notification procedures to families outside of them. This protocol provides a clear and consistent framework that encompasses a range of potential emergencies, including—but not limited—to natural disasters, security threats, and other critical incidents. This protocol includes specific actions and responses for different emergency scenarios, ensuring that all students and staff members are well-prepared and informed about how to react in the event of an emergency. Types of Action and Notification Process
Hold
Hold is called when the hallways need to be kept clear due to a situation. Students and staff are instructed to clear the halls and remain in a classroom until the situation is resolved.
Examples:
• Medical situation in hallway allowing responders clear access
