4J EWEB Education Partnership

The 4J/EWEB Education Partnership (4J/EEP) is a grant funded program within Eugene School District 4J. About 30 years ago, this phenomenal partnership was formed to support and supplement science education, particularly in the areas of energy and water.
Our Changing Planet-Preparing for Our Future
Nature is medicine, innovation is hope, adaptation is survival and knowledge is power. We are committed to creating spaces that encourage noticing, wondering and questioning that foster an awareness of the interconnectedness of all living things, natural systems and human impacts. ALL students deserve to be seen, heard and offered the opportunity to learn how to be collaborative, critical thinkers and problem solvers gaining knowledge, confidence and voice to take small and large actions toward creating a just, healthy and livable future here on the planet we all share-Earth.

- Salmon Raising each fall for Eugene 4J 1st-12th grades
- Salmon Raising Teacher PD for 4J, Bethel and Springfield teachers each October

- EWEB EV Challenge PD for teachers each March

4J/EEP Staff:
Tana Shepard K-12 Climate. Energy. Conservation. (TOSA)
Tana is in her 23rd year teaching and her 9th year her current role. Prior to this position, she taught 4th and 5th grade at Chávez Elementary, as well as started the school garden, the green team and was a STEAM team leader. Her passions lie in educating others about all things to steward and protect our Mother Earth.
Tasha Tipitino 4J/EEP Program Assistant
Tasha has worked in the district for over a decade. She is passionate about supporting youth learning and managing all the behind the scenes work to make this program tick.
