2024–25 Enrollment Both digital and paper enrollment options are available to register students for the 2024–25 school year.
Kindergarten: All children who are at least 5 years old by Sept. 1 of the school year are eligible to attend school.
To enroll in a 4J school as a district resident, a student’s custodial parent or legal guardian must physically resident/live within the district boundaries. To check on whether a given address falls within 4J and which schools are the designated neighborhood schools for that address, please click here to enter your address.
All children who are 6 and older must attend school. Children who are 6 years old by September 1 may attend first grade.
What’s my school? Enter your address here to find your neighborhood elementary, middle and high schools. Families who live within the River Road El Camino del Rio Spanish Immersion and Howard Elementary boundaries are within a larger ‘super boundary’ and can choose between these two neighborhood schools for enrollment.
School choice/out-of-district transfers: Students may enroll in their neighborhood school or request a school choice transfer to a different school. Options include alternative, language immersion and other neighborhood schools.
Families outside of the district boundary who wish to enroll in 4J schools must either obtain an out-of-district transfer or exchange, or pay tuition.
For more information about boundaries, transfers, exchanges or tuition, visit School Choice here or email schoolchoice@4j.lane.edu.
