Facilities will install SMARTBoards at no charge to the school other than the cost of the bracket assembly. The bracket assembly is $130. Facilities will provide the bracket assembly. They have ordered these in bulk to help reduce cost and have them in stock. Schools should submit a work order to facilities to install the SMARTBoard. Once installed, facilities will bill the school for the brackets. Note from facilities: The brackets that have been purchased allow for installation in front of an existing white board (marker board), without damaging the white board.  These brackets are required in order to hold the SMARTBoard away from the white board in order to clear the tray at the bottom of the white board, especially where the SMARTBoard is required to be mounted low such as for young students.  It is rare that there is a blank wall with nothing on it that is ready for a SMARTBoard.  In the case that there is a blank wall the brackets that ship with the SMARTBoard can be used for mounting resulting in a no charge installation for a school.
