Eugene Online Academy

Mission Statement:
To provide all students with a high-quality, well-rounded educational experience that is rigorous, culturally responsive, personalized and engaging.

Program Description:
The Eugene Online Academy (EOA) is a K–12 learning program offered through Eugene School District 4J that combines technology and in-person support from 4J teachers and staff for students interested in learning in a different way than a traditional classroom setting.

Students learn in a self-paced manner that is flexible and customized to their individual needs, interests and schedules.

EOA offers a wide variety of courses including core classes, career and technical education (CTE) courses and electives, and allows students to explore and concentrate on individual career pathways.

Students must check-in with 4J staff each week.

EOA students may also have the option of taking in-person classes and/or participating in extracurricular activities at their neighborhood school.

Most online coursework is completed off-campus, but students seeking additional support can meet with a 4J teacher either via phone, video meeting, or they may be able to meet in person at the Eugene Online Academy workspace, located at the district office at 200 N. Monroe St., for personalized help.

EOA is a K-12 program offered by the Eugene School District. As a program, access is based on a referral from the student’s brick and mortar school. The referral is evaluated to determine if the student will be well served by the program. You will need to work with your school to request a referral. After June 11, 2020 please fill out this form to express your interest in EOA. Information from this form will provide the school district with a interested families that we will reach out to over the summer and near the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year.
