Program Description:
The Chávez school community believes a strong connection between parents, students, and the school is the best way to promote student success. Chávez values parent involvement and collaboration. Our academic program focuses on literacy through systematic instruction. Our students have access to technology throughout their school day to enhance learning.
School Highlights:
  • A highly qualified staff focused on literacy, as well as music, physical education and technology specialists
  • School-wide Title 1 support, Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) progress monitoring, Summer Reading Camp, SMART reading volunteers

Other Information:
Chávez has been designated as an Academy School by the 4J School Board. Under this initiative, staff will focus on professional development in reading, writing and technology.
