KITS
Eugene 4J Kids in Transition to School (KITS) summer program is intended for students who will be entering kindergarten in Fall, 2021. This is free to all families thanks to the support of state and federal grants, as well as the local support of Eugene Education Foundation.

During the KITS program your kids will:
- Learn to make friends & cooperate
- Build beginning reading & counting skills
You will:
- Learn skills to reduce parenting stress
- Learn how to connect with your child’s school
At this time, we plan to have KITS centrally located at Chávez Elementary School, and will run 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for 2 hours from June 29, 2021 through August 19, 2021.
Morning and afternoon options available:
- 9:00 – 11:00 AM
- 12:30 – 2:30 PM
KITS is free and open to all incoming Kindergarten students! We encourage all interested families to apply! Families will be notified about the status of their application by the start of June.
This summer, students and staff will be following recommended COVID-19 health and safety protocols, including wearing masks and social distancing.

Trillium Produce Plus |
The Family Resource Center has partnered with Food for Lane County to bring families the Trillium Produce Plus Program. The program offers families the opportunity once a month to receive free fruits and vegetables. Selection of produce varies at each distribution.
