CTE Student Internships

Eugene School District 4J’s Student Internship Program works with the local professional community to provide meaningful positions for high school students that offer a preview of their professional future in a real-world setting. By working alongside employees in a specific industry, student interns gain enthusiasm for a possible career, while also acquiring skills and expertise needed to succeed in the workplace.

Current juniors and seniors are invited to participate in the internship program. After completing the online application, students participate in a series of professional development activities in preparation for a semester-long internship. Interns are then selected and placed with a local business or organization for one or more of their class periods. Coaches in the program support each intern throughout the process.

To get started, fill out the internship application and, once submitted, you will be contacted regarding your next steps for a placement. For more information, contact Jessica Thomas, 4J high school success coordinator, at thomas_je@4j.lane.edu.
