Building 4J’s Future (2018)

The district’s long-range facilities plan guides us in replacing and renovating outdated school buildings. This plan aims to position 4J for the future and revitalize our school buildings as great places for Eugene’s children to learn. It was updated in 2013 after a thorough study of building conditions and significant community input, and again in 2018 after another public process.

The long-range plan calls for bond measures in 2013 and 2018 and beyond to replace and improve school buildings and other materials. Voters approved a bond measure in 2013 to replace four aging school buildings and make other capital improvements across the district, including facilities repairs, technology upgrades and curriculum updates. These improvements are mostly completed and we’re now looking to the next step.

The 4J school board is now considering the next step, a potential bond measure to be placed on the November 2018 ballot.
