School Board Election Ballots Mailed

Ballots due by May 18 at 8 p.m.

Eugene School District 4J voters will decide this May who will fill three of the seven positions on the Eugene School Board.

Ballots have been mailed to voters in the May 18 election, which includes three positions on the Eugene School District 4J board of directors.

The Eugene School Board consists of seven members who are elected to serve four-year terms. Board elections occur in May of each odd numbered year. Director positions 1, 4, 5 and 7 will be on the ballot in May 2023. This year, positions 2, 3 and 6 are on the ballot. These positions are currently held by Anne Marie Levis, Judy Newman and Jim Torrey.

The school board is elected from the district at large, not from geographic regions. Registered voters who live within the Eugene School District may vote on all 4J board positions on the ballot.

Candidates:
Position 2: Laural O’Rourke, Harry Sanger
Position 3: Judy Newman, Tom DiLiberto, Bryan Costa
Position 6: Maya Rabasa, Dakota James Boulette

To be counted, ballots must be received by the elections office no later than Tuesday, May 18, at 8 p.m.

Those elected will begin their four-year terms on July 1, 2021.
