Meeting will begin at 7 p.m., includes discussion of district’s return to learning plan

Eugene School District 4J Board of Directors will hold its first meeting of the new school year on Wednesday, August 5. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m., a return to the board’s regular meeting time after a trial of an earlier start time last spring.

The school board meeting will be held virtually in adherence to Governor Kate Brown’s “Keep Government Working” Executive Order 20-16.

The meeting will be open to the public via live broadcast on KRVM 1280-AM and via livestream on the internet at www.4j.lane.edu/stream. Audio recordings of board meetings are posted online at tinyurl.com/4jboardbook within 48 hours following the meeting.

Public comments may be submitted by sending an email to board@4j.lane.edu, with the subject line clearly labeled “Public Comment.” The board will read, review and take into consideration all comments submitted by 12 p.m. (noon) on the day of the meeting.

The meeting agenda includes a presentation and discussion of the district’s ongoing planning to begin the new school year this fall in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
