4J Summer Programs 2020

Summer learning, free meals, health care

Summer is here, and with it some no-cost opportunities for students to learn and stay nourished.

Summer Learning: 4J is offering the following online summer school programs:

Free Meals: Grab-and-go meals are available for all youth 18 years old and younger—NO income requirements, NO forms to fill out. The free summer food program is available at six 4J school sites, Monday through Thursday. 4J meal sites are closed on Fridays, and additional meals are provided on Thursdays. Free summer meals also are available via Food for Lane County at four other 4J schools and several other community sites.

Summer Office Schedules: Schools and offices are closed to visitors, but staff are working remotely. Most central office staff work year-round. High school office staff work on a limited schedule during the summer. Elementary and middle school offices close for part of the summer, but staff return to work well before the start of school.

The school-based health center at Churchill High School will reopen in late July.
