Eugene Online Academy Expands to All Grades

4J’s online learning program now enrolling K–12 students for 2020–21 school year

Is online learning the right fit for your student? The Eugene Online Academy is now enrolling students in all grades for the 2020–21 school year.

Eugene Online Academy is a K–12 learning program offered by Eugene School District 4J that combines technology and in-person support from 4J teachers to offer students an alternative to a traditional classroom setting. Students learn in a self-paced manner that is flexible and customized to their individual needs, interests and schedules.

Eugene Online Academy offers core classes and a wide variety of other courses including career and technical education (CTE) courses and electives that allow students to explore and concentrate on individual career pathways.

Students also are able to take in-person classes and participate in extracurricular activities at their neighborhood school.

Most online coursework is completed off-campus, but students seeking additional, personalized support can meet with a 4J teacher via phone, video meeting, or  in person at the Eugene Online Academy workspace, located at the district office at 200 N. Monroe St.

The online learning program started for high school students in the 2018–19 school year and expanded to students in grades 6–12 for the 2019–20 school year.

Interested in enrolling? If your student is currently enrolled in a 4J school, please contact your school to apply for the program. After June 11, or if your student is not currently enrolled in a 4J school, please email eugeneonline@4j.lane.edu or call 541-790-7545.
