On the morning of May 7, 2004, Kelly Middle Schools staff met to think back on their past school year, and dream about their future as they continue implementing the small schools within a school concept. Principal Tim Rochholz and Assistant Principal Brooke Wagner read aloud the children's book "The Big Splat," which is all about creating a neighborhood. Using that as a guide, teams then developed a mural to reflect what they created this past year, and their hopes for the future. The five &6th, 7th, 8th, related arts, support staff and student services team) murals are now hanging in their staff room.

Bette Shoemaker, retiring district
Curriculum Director, reads her appreciation card from the Kelly staff.
