Modeling

  • Demonstrate personal and organizational trustworthiness.
  • Encourage active initiation and participation.

  • Engage in a process of increasing clarity and skill in using instructional practices to enhance ownership.

Pathfinding

  • Use a range of data to determine stakeholder needs.
  • Establish a vision.
  • Create a shared mission and values.
  • Provide opportunities to personalize and own practice.


    Aligning

  • Establish conditions for improvement.
  • Modify organizational structures to implement the plan.
  • Create support structures for learning.
  • Develop benchmarks.

     

    Empowering

  • Create challening and interesting work.
  • Provide opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Have support from management.
  • Have control over the factors that enable high performance and continuous improvement.

Recruitment

The project will ensure that new administrators asre of the highest caliber and broadest representation.

  • Work with SAE/LP on licensure process.
  • Apprentice leaders.
  • Workforce Diversity Plan update
  • Increase diversity of administrators.
  • Administrative trainees.
  • Teacher recruitment system for administrators.

 

Preparation and Training

The project with ensure that current administrators have the skills to improve student learning.

  • Survery and focus groups on training needs.
  • Formation of K-12 Learning Communities.
  • Targeting "Achievement Gap" Schools
  • Hiring consultants/presenters on:
    • Change
    • Technology
    • Achievement gap
    • Brain friendly instruction
  • New administrator mentorship program
  • Literacy training for principals
