On
April 24, 2006, representatives from the Education Development Center
came to Eugene to meet with the Lead Team and shre their preliminiary
analysis of the K-12 Learning Communities here. They are intended
as a strategic lever for strengthening school leader efforts to improve
student learning. During the process of sharing, the Team was asked
for feedback and to identify themes to guide the strategic plan of
action for future EDC technical assistance efforts in Eugene.

Eva
Goldberg, Sue Feldman, and Cheryl King,
all from EDC, wait for responses to their preliminary report
while the Lead Team reviews it. |

For
each section of the report (context, data analysis, findings
and recommendations) they deliberate. Does it match your
perceptions, are there surprises? |

Is
there something here that doesn't fit? Is there something
that is not here that should be? Members note their thoughts
on stickies.
|

Groups
share their stickies and look for big themes that may emerge. |

Stickies
are then arranged under theme headings and presented to
the group. |

The
final deliberation is on how the report recommendations
might influence future work. |
