The Eugene School Board appointed three members to the district budget committee at the Nov. 7 board meeting.
In an open vote, board members selected Shirley M. Clark, Debra J. Smith and Mary Walston from an impressive slate of 10 applicants. Shirley Clark and Debra Smith will serve full terms that run through June 30, 2010 and Mary Walston, a returning member, will serve a partial term that expires June 30, 2008. The year's
first budget committee meeting will be Dec. 10.
