How do I find out if schools are closed? 4J staff have several ways to learn about weather-related school closures. An all-staff email normally is sent by about 6:00 a.m. whenever schools are closed due to hazardous weather. You also can check the district homepage (http://www.4j.lane.edu) or KRVM-FM, sign up for Twitter / text message alerts, and tune in to other local TV and radio stations.
What is announced? If there is a change in the school schedule or bus routes due to inclement weather, the district will announce the change. If school is in session and on regular schedule, the district will not make an announcement.
Do I report to work if schools are closed? Important change for 2011–12 only: This year, only designated emergency staff (and principals if necessary) will report to work when schools are closed. All other employees will not report to work and will observe budget reduction/furlough days. Up to three (3) hazardous weather days will be counted as budget reduction/furlough days, thus reducing or eliminating the furlough days at the end of the year (school days June 14,15 and 18).
What if I can't get to work safely? If you are required to report and you believe you cannot get to work safely due to hazardous weather conditions, you can notify your administrator or supervisor and use the leave provisions outlined in your employee agreement. Protect Yourself Against the Flu
Did you miss the district flu shot clinics? You can still get yourself a flu shot at no out-of-pocket cost.
If you are covered under an OEBB insurance plan, you will have no copay at a network vaccination pharmacy.
Call ahead of time to make sure the pharmacy has the vaccine you need. Show your ODS ID card to the pharmacist for billing before receiving a vaccine — otherwise, it may not be covered.
The following participating chain pharmacies provide vaccines:

• Bi-Mart
• Fred Meyer
• Rite Aid
• Safeway
