Getting Started

Before you log into the website, you are an anonymous user. You have no special privileges and can see and do what anyone who visits the web site can see or do.

Once you log in, you gain privileges. Some of these  are immediately visible, such as the Edit and Signups tabs. In addition, content such as eSIS documentation or Mailman are only visible when you are logged in. Other content, such as the forms to create content, will only be available when you are granted additional privileges.

To Log In

To log in, click My Account in the upper-righthand corner or the log in link in the footer:

Clicking either of these links brings you to the user login screen.

What's My Username?

Your username is based on your 4J email address. Enter everything before the @ sign. If your email address were anderson_me@4j.lane.edu, you would enter only anderson_me, like in the example above.

What's My Password?

Your password is the same as your 4J email password. If you're forgotten your email password, contact Computing and Information Services at 541-790-7774. To change your 4J password, visit https://password.lane.edu/.

Now What?

Once you've logged in, you'll see information about your account, and you'll have two links available for logging out.

Note: If you have been granted access beyond default staff members and as new features are introduced, you may see more options than are included in the screen shot above.
