The Eugene School District 4J accepts online applications for the following applicant types: 

  • Teachers
  • Guest (Substitute) Teachers
  • School Administrators
  • Supervisors, Professionals and Managers
  • Coaches (Certain Positions)
  • Instructional Assistants
  • Clerical and Secretarial Staff
  • Food Service (dual process)

 

INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLY FOR THE ABOVE POSITIONS:

Quick Start Instructions:

  1. Browse our current online job openings and click on a job you want to apply to.
  2. Click the Register/Login button and complete your information.
  3. Click “Apply Now” on the selected job posting and complete out your online application.  All requests for technical assistance can be accessed via the help menu once you logon to your EdZapp account.
  4. Upload or send any required documents to EdZapp.
  5. When you are done entering your information click the “Submit” button and follow the prompts.
  6. You will receive an automated email once your application has been successfully received. Please do not call the Hiring Administrator or HR to confirm receipt. Instead, login again to edZapp and check your jobs applied to.  We will contact you only if you are selected for an interview.

TIPS FOR APPLYING ONLINE IN EDZAPP:

Registration 

When registering, be sure to check one of the 'roles' at the bottom of the registration page.   Your selection will determine which sections of the application you will need to complete as well as which jobs you will be able to apply to.

 

Complete Your Application 

Be sure to complete the REQUIRED sections of your application.  Many applicants forget to either apply to a specific position or forget to fill out the required district questions near the end of the process.  Incomplete applications will not be considered.

 

WHAT INFORMATION IS REQUIRED FOR DIFFERENT TYPES OF APPLICANTS?

In addition to the required basic online application in EdZapp, the following documentation is required for certain types of positions. 

 Teacher/Licensed Applicants (Teachers, School Psychologists, Physical Therapists, etc.)
  • Educational Licenses and Certificates information (details)
  • Three (3) Letters of Reference (as separate PDF files)
  • Copy of all college (undergraduate and graduate) transcripts (unofficial) (details)    
  • Answer District Questions (details)
Classified Applicants (Instructional Assistants clerical, technical support, school secretaries, and other positions listed in the OSEA collective bargaining unit agreement.)
  • Education
  • Work Experience
  • List of three (3) Professional References.
  • Answer any questions
 Administrative (Licensed) Applicants (Principals, Assistant Principals, Directors, etc.)
  • Educational Licenses and Certificates information (details)
  • List three (3) professional references.
  • Upload or send all undergraduate and graduate transcripts (details)   
  • Answer all Questions (details)
  • Upload or Send your Resume/CV to EdZapp to be scanned into your application.
 Supervisory and Professional Applicants (Managers, Supervisors, other professional staff)
  • Education
  • Work Experience
  • List of three (3) Professional References
  • Upload or Send Resume to EdZapp to be scanned into your account.
  • And any Supplemental Questions and other documents requested in posting.

 

 

WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR "INTERNAL" CANDIDATES?


For Internal Licensed Candidates

  • Please complete the application within EdZapp.  You must enter your 6-digit employee number.  You will not need to upload your transcripts or letters of reference if you have already done so and they have not changed.
  • Please note that you must be a current or qualifying licensed 4J employee.  (ie - Classified employees are not considered internal candidates for licensed positions.)
  • Guest Teachers (Subsitutes) are NOT considered internal licensed candidates.

For Internal Classified Candidates

  • Please complete the application within EdZapp.  You must enter your 6-digit employee number.  The same information as external candidates is required.  Providing this information is in your best interests.
  • Please note that you must be a current or qualifiing Classified 4J employee who has passed probation.  Probationary, temporary, seasonal, and subsitute Classified employees are NOT considered as internal Classified candidates.


Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Applications must be recieved by 5:00 P.M. on the closing date listed on the job posting.  

 

Applying to a Job Posting 

After completing the online resume, you should make sure that you have applied to one or more job postings.  Completing the profile and resume only will not trigger your application for review.  You can make sure that you have applied by clicking on the 'Application Status/Jobs' tab, then clicking on 'Jobs Applied To'.
