Students with Concussions

When your child has had a concussive injury, it is important for your school to know. 4J seeks to ensure that concussed students are appropriately identified, treated and referred appropriately, that they get appropriate follow-up medical care during the school day, including academic help, and that they are fully recovered before returning to full cognitive and physical activity. The concussion management team may include the school nurse, certified athletic trainer, counseling staff, school psychologist, administrator, TBI coordinator, and the student’s teachers.
