Michigan Model Update June 09:
Back orders have been completed. You should have in your Michigan Model bins at the elementary level everything you need to teach the core lessons and some materials to do some of the extension lessons. If you are missing some items for the core lessons, you can go to http://www.emc.cmich.edu/ to order the materials in the pricelists and order forms section (most items are inexpensive). It is possible there were small mistakes made in putting the bins together however, the budget for health adoption has been completely spent so if you need items you will have to check with your school budget for purchasing items that may have been inadvertently missed.
We have had a few other lessons that the vendor is no longer selling the books, DVDs or VHS tapes to Michigan Model publisher. You are missing items for these lessons:
Kindergarten - Social and Emotional Unit, lesson 4 missing “How Do I Feel” book. There will be a new addenda coming out for this lesson with a replacement book called “The Way I Feel” from Educational Materials Center.
Grade 1 – Safety Unit, Lesson #2 missing “Hall of Flame” video or DVD.
Safety Unit, Lesson #2 & #3 “Burn Prevention” posters.
Personal Health and Wellness Unit, Lesson #2 missing “Thumbs Up for
Kids” video or DVD.
