LEAD Team Strengthens Articulation & Coherence

At the LEAD Team meeting on October 28, 2007, administrators collaborated to answer questions posed by EDC in relation to the English Language text adoption. The goal is to have a common curriculum with research-based instructional strategies articulated in a district-wide scope and sequence for each grade level and subject area.

Principals Tasha Katsuda, Martha Moultry, and Paco Furlan deliberate the process at the elementary level.

Middle school administrators Charlie Smith, Peter Tromba, and Wes Flinn (paying off a magazine sale challenge with his hair-do) get their thoughts down on the computer.

Phil McCullum from the UO Education Department works with Bob Bolden who uses a UO program to articulate high school curriculum with benchmarks and test standards.

Each level then shared the progress they have made in the process.

Director Kay Mehas introduces the initial plan of a Leadership Behavior Framework Joe Murphy is developing at Vanderbilt University.

Phil McCullum reviews the Educational Leadership Improvement Tool which the UO and District 4J have collaboratively developed, articulated with administrator standards.
