Textbook Adoption

Curriculum adoption begins at the state level. Subject area specialists from all over Oregon are brought together to review the most current available curriculum. This group makes a recommendation about the top programs that align with the State Standards. This list of programs is then made available to districts.

The Eugene 4J School District assembles its own team of classroom teachers, administrators, and subject area specialists to preview and rate the avaiable programs. Once the District team makes its selections, the programs are made available for each school to preview. Each school then selects the program that best fits the needs of the students in their building.

Below are the projected dates for current and new adoptions. Most adoptions are in place for six years.
