Summer High School 2011

Summer High is a Eugene School District 4J program designed to help high school seniors complete their graduation requirements. This year, we are offering online credit recovery courses only.

Who is Eligible?

High school seniors with 1.0 or fewer credits remaining to graduate
Must be a current student at Churchill, North Eugene, Sheldon, or South Eugene High School
Must receive a referral by a high school counselor

Calendar 2011

Orientation: Week of June 20 (date/time TBD)
Classes Begin:
  Week of July 5
Classes End:  Week of August 1
Students will have five weeks to complete course work.

Registration

Registration is currently open through Monday, June 13. 
Please see your high school counselor to register.
Available ONLY to students of Churchill, North Eugene, Sheldon, and South Eugene high schools.

Computer Lab Locations

Instructor will determine amount of lab time required for each student, based on need. Labs open to all summer high students during hours of operation for additional support and assignment completion.

Churchill Alternative High School (Tuesdays, 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00, closed 12:00-1:00 for lunch)
North Eugene High School (Wednesdays, 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00, closed 12:00-1:00 for lunch

 Course Subjects

All core subjects available
Classes are credit recovery

Homework Assistance

Instructor available to meet with students during lab times

Credit

0.5 credit earned per course
Maximum of 1.0 credit possible (or two courses)
*Credits posted to high school transcript

Cost

$150 per course or
$75 per course for students on Free/Reduced Meals (must have current application on file with Nutrition Services)

Tuition payments due by Monday, June 13
*Turn in payment to your school's finance office

*All fees are nonrefundable and students are not be offically enrolled until registation fees are paid in full.
*Make checks payable to your home high school.
