PBS Harassment Prevention and Intervention
Creating a school climate that is inclusive, welcoming and safe is a major goal of all 4J schools. Our schools use a variety of materials to help meet this goal. The more widely used ones are listed here.
Bullying and Harassment Curricula and Resources
Curricula:
- Steps to Respect: A Bullying Prevention Program, Committee for Children, Grades 3-5 or 4-6
- Second Step, Committee for Children
- Grades Pre/K, foundation skills in empathy, impulse control and anger management.
- Grades 1-5, build on primary lessons and can be used in conjunction with Steps to Respect.
- Middle School - build on K-5 lessons
- Second Step Prior Learning for elementary or middle schools to take advantage of students with prior knowledge of 2nd Step.
