eSIS Start Screen and Navigation

Start Screen

The Start Screen is the starting point for all activities in eSIS. When you finish a task in eSIS you can return to the Start Screen to select another function or you can navigate from your current screen.

Menu Bar

There are seven drop down lists that contain various functions. Your level of access determines whether you can select a particular function. If it appears in gray, it is not available for your use.

Main Menu:	Common eSIS functions.
Common View:	Navigate directly to student demographic screens and common functions
School:	Set up and maintain school data.
Administration:	Set up and maintain district level data. CIS is responsible for these functions.
Lock:	Temporarily inactivates eSIS access.
Query:	Four query options.
Help:	Access AAL’s eSIS on-line Help web page.

Message Line

This is the bottom left line of your screen. System messages and instructions appear here. When you get an error, check this line for an explanation. Press "F1" for more information on the error.

"Find Student" button

Pressing this button will locate a student at that specific time of day.

• Press the "find student" button
• The course, room and teacher will be displayed
