1/25/10 — Kindergarten
is coming to Buena Vista Elementary School! The district’s oldest
language immersion school, Buena Vista was the only remaining 4J
elementary school without a kindergarten classroom.
Buena Vista
shares a building with Meadowlark, a neighborhood elementary school.
When the school board approved the addition of kindergarten at Buena
Vista, it also directed staff to develop a one-year transition staffing
proposal to help mitigate the impact on Meadowlark, to be considered
during the budget process.
Buena Vista’s new kindergarten program is set to begin next school year. Interested parents may call 541-790-6500 to schedule a tour during school visitation week, February 22–26.
