Advanced Global Studies

Content Introduction & Orientation:

Churchill ninth graders take an integrated Global Studies and English course as the core of their studies. The teachers of English and Global Studies work together to coordinate curriculum and introduce students to Churchill High School.

Several guiding questions serve as cohesive strands throughout the school year. These questions include:

* What does literature and history suggest about the inherent nature of mankind?

* What does social studies and literature reveal about various human cultures? How do these insights relate to our rapidly changing, complex global society?

* What are the past results, present developments, and future implications of human interaction with the environment?
